This Thunderegg Air Plant Holder was mined in the Canyon Rim Thunderegg pit, adjacent to the Polka Dot Jasper Mine, located near Ashwood, Oregon.

Thundereggs vary in size from one half inch to over three feet in diameter, but averaging about the size of a baseball.  This Thunderegg measures close to 7″ x 5″ x 4″ deep, slightly larger than a softball, its filled with botryoidal agate and covered on the outside with botryoidal rhyolite.  This makes for a very unique air plant holder (Air Plant not included).
